...DONE...

I am OFFICIALLY done with my Christmas shopping. Ok well I lied. I still need to get Madison 3 more things for her stocking. But all presents are bought. I finished yesterday when I got Kiarah her new comforter set, and her ihome. I'm pretty excited to give her those. Now I have to wrap, oh the joys. I really HATE wrapping.

So today a few friends on Facebook shared a link to a blog named ohsoposhphotography, where she is giving away a lovely Nikon D90! So I decided to post a blog about it, you know for my entry and all. :-D I think its pretty amazing for someone to give this away. Makes me miss my D3000! :'( I of course would love to win won. If I don't win I hope the person who does enjoys it. Its an awesome camera.

Life is the same old same.

Kiarah-was failing some subjects in school. She got her 1st F last qtr. Today she brought home her progress report for the 2nd qtr and has all As. HOWEVER she has several things not turned in. SIGH. She has til the 13th to turn them in or her grades drop. I asked the teachers to please send home anything needed. Let's see if that happens. I actually have decided to set up a meeting with teachers, and administration to see how we can help Kiarah succeed. The meeting is set up on Dec 12th at 2:45, I can't make it at that time so hopefully we can do a phone conference...or reschedule. She is doing well in cheer. She was moved from level 2 to 4, she loves it. Other than that she is doing well.

Madison is in Pre-k now and loving it. She's had some really hard days lately that revolve around Taylor. :-/ she is just missing him I guess. It truly breaks my heart. Not much to really update on her. She is in cheer and loving that too. Its fun watching her and Kiarah.

Me: same old same. Nothing new with me honestly. Well I started dating again...or decided to. I went out with a guy on Saturday, we've been talking for months now. Well it didn't turn out well and we're currently not speaking. I'm so tired of being lonely and such. I've had a stressful last few days! I've since my last stretching entry gone to a 4....pic to come later. I think its still on the memory card. I think I will be stopping here, I still haven't decided. Either way the next size down which is a 2g is my stopping point. Eventually my ear stretched on its own with the plug in. I was able to get the 6g in with no issue around my birthday. And then a month ago I was able to get the 4 in really easy. They're super itchy right now so they are finally healing. :)

Horrible

I came across a very sad blog today. A friend posted a link to a blog called An Inch of Gray where the mom made a post about her son who was in 7th grade passed away. I believe the little boy passed away sometime this weekend, maybe on Sunday. As a mom of 2 I honestly can't imagine what she is going though. My heart breaks for her and her family.

I sit here right now looking at my kids who one is doing homework and the other driving me nuts because she is running around the house like a lunatic! Its sad that at an instant you can lose a child. Makes me want to squeeze them tight and NEVER let go.

Summer?

I'm not sure but uhm did we have a summer??? I can't believe it's time for the kids to go back to school. Kiarah will be a 4th grader in FIVE days!!!! I swear it just blows my mind how fast she alone is growing up. I can't believe she will be 9 in a few weeks. Makes me want to cry. I'm still waiting to hear if Madison will be starting Pre-k or not. I'm so hoping she gets in because Mama needs to go back to work , I'm tired of sitting at home doing nothing.

I'm back in school though, lets pray I keep my motivation. Its hard doing online school because you have no one but yourself to push you through it. I need to get this done. I have also decided it is TIME for me to learn how to drive. Yes folks I said it...Tiffany will learn how to drive soon. I've figured out a few things, now just need someone to get me out to the DMV when I'm ready to take my permit test. I see good visions of my future. :)

Hello

I haven't updated in awhile. We went to NY last week, it was a super short visit. It was nice to go back to NY and visit with family and friends. I wish we got to stay longer though. On the Saturday before we left we went to Rye Playland it was the whole fam minus Amanda and we added Stephanie, and Erika's little brother. It was a nice day. The girls and I didn't get to see everyone we had planned on seeing. I can't wait to go back and visit for longer this time.

So I had to go back up to an 8 gauge, my ears were just not ready to be stretched. :( When I took out the right plug it was bleeding. So I let them rest over night and put the 8s back in. I ordered a SSS (surgical stainless steel) 8g because I was advised to by a few people. Hopefully it will be here before I leave to NY on Wednesday morning. My last order came fairly fast so I'm hopeful. Anyway yea the fact that they were so overly sore, swollen and hot I took them out before it got infected. I will probably end up using SSS for my next 2 stretches too. My next stretch wont be for awhile, and I may actually go to the the piercing place to do it, we'll see what the outcome is.

6g...part 2

Oh the pain! LMAO this by far has been the hardest, most painful stretch yet. Again the left was the easiest of the 2 ears, within 2 minutes it was in. The right ear uhm yea it took me 17 minutes to get the taper in. And that's the only thing I could get in. For some reason I could not get the plug to go through, so I'm leaving the taper in for an hour or so and see if I can get the plug back through. I don't want to sleep with it in though so hopefully it works.

6g...part 1

I attempted on the next stretch from an 8g-6g. Yea that didn't go well. I don't think my ear was ready for the next stretch! Even though I think its healed, I'm just going to wait til next week. It burned too much, and will all the research I did before I started my stretching it said that if you feel pain, stop. Stretching shouldn't hurt. :( I was hoping to go down the next size already. Oh well, I'll try again in a few days.

8g

Stretching is far too easy now I think. LMAO I just started on June 27th and now at 8g!!! I didn't think this was actually going to go so fast. LOL seriously I think I will go through like withdraws when I reach my 4g hole. :( only 2 more sizes to go too! I have a feeling that by the end of this week I'll drop down to a 6g. The 8s just slipped right in like the 10. Again the right was a little harder than the left though. Again here are some pics. :)

3rd stretch

I did my 3rd stretch today, I'm now at a 10g. This is actually addicting. LMAO The right ear is a little sore right now, it took a bit to get it in. The left ear didn't take much but a push.

Crazy last few days.

On Wednesday night I broke out in hives, no clue what could have brought them on. I didn't eat anything out of the norm, and no soaps etc changed. So I washed the areas that were broken out in dial and took a shower. It seemed to fade a little and I went to bed. I woke up Thurs morning and it was 10x's worse. So I took some benedryl and it went away. I was fine all day thinking ok I just needed this dose. Nope, it came back that night. Fri I went to urgent care and was given a script for prednisone. I never got it filled that day, because it just never happened. That night again I broke out. So I went to bed (fairly late...lol 5am!) and when I woke up my tongue and throat were swollen. And my throat was itchy. So I went back to urgent care and got a shot of the prednisone....holy painful! My hip actually still hurts in that area. Anyway the swelling was gone in an hour or less. And I have now been hives free for over 24 hrs. I took my first dose of the pills today, and got high. LOL The only side effect I have is my joints hurt. The femur that connects to my pelvis hurts and my left elbow hurts. I could't even pick up my blanket because it hurt. Stupid medicine! So anyway hopefully all will be ok with that now.

Good thing is I went to the 12G this afternoon. It slipped in, in about 3 seconds. I tried going to the 10g but that hurt a little. So I'm going to wait til Thursday since its the 2 weeks. I won't force it, if it hurts I know its not a good time to start that size yet. I notice going from 12 to 10g is a jump and same from 6 to 4g, and then again 2 and 0g. Here are two pics. They really don't look much different.

14g

So i did my first stretch today. It look tiny but cute, I'm loving it. It was actually pretty easy to do. The right ear took about 3 minutes, and the left was a tad bit hard and was like 5-8 minutes. But the Holey Butt'r was AMAZING. It burned a little and I stopped and then started again. Putting the plug in fast enough after getting the taper out was the hardest. They were a tad bit sore after, but fine now. Can't wait to stretch to my next size. Anywhere are some pics.

My stretching stuff came today. Everything came at once. I have already placed my new nose stud in too...LOVE it! So I'm going to take a shower later to relax the skin and stretch to my first size which is the 14g LOL yes I realize I am crazy! :-D Pics to come later.

Woo hoo all 3 companies have sent an email, letting my know my ear stretching stuff is on the way! I am super excited. I have still be googling a ton of stuff, watching videos on Youtube. I just want to see first hand that I will know what to do. In every video I have seen the people are doing it the way I thought it would be done. I'm hoping it all comes on the same day, or a day in between each other. I can be ok without the Holey Butt'r. But I def need those tapers and plugs to be here at the same time. LOL

So yea I suck at that 30 day thing. I'll get back to it to catch up starting back with whatever day I left off. LOL Just been busy with vacation that I forgot. Anyway the reason of this post was not to discuss my slacking off, or procrastinating abilities. I have been tossing around the idea of stretching my ears. I did the stretching to a 10 g. years ago, I think it was even before Kiarah was born. I would have to start back from an 18g (which is normal getting your ear pierced in the mall type of size), and want to go to a 4...insert gasp here! LMAO I'm actually kinda nervous to hit a 6, because from what videos I watched it seem to hurt like a bitch. But anywho. My first down grade size will be a 16...its so itty bitty looking. LOL I've done a length of research online reading other piercers perspectives. I called a few places locally and talked to the piercer and got their advice (had to act like I was going to come in) and everything equals up to what I read online.

So today I made 3 purchases online and will begin my journey as soon as it all comes in. I ordered a 23 piece stretching kit...this kit includes 14-00g tappers (tapers are a pointy piece of jewelry to help the stretching along) basically you place the taper in your ear and wait a minute or 2, and then slide the plug in pushing out the taper. The kit also included 10-00g plugs...kinda silly if you ask me to have 14g starting tapers but then totally forget the 14 and 12g plugs. So with that said I ordered14 and 12 g plugs off of a website...they will be pink. For sizes 10-4g I will have a black plug. Also in the order with my pink plugs were 3 nose studs...yay. So reading more and more into everything, I came across something called Holey Butt'r, basically its an ear care cream. It contains a bunch of different things. The jojoba oil resembles the skin, so it acts a lubricant to help the taper slide in easier. Then there is neem seed oil which is non toxic and is an antiseptic, anti fungal, antibacterial, antiviral agent, and will act as a moisturizer. And then there is soy was which has vitamins and anti-oxidants. It will help also with moisturizing and softening too.

So yea I am super excited on stretching my ears, its just something I've always wanted to do. Hopefully my packages won't take too long!!! I shall post my stretching journey on my blog...so if you're interested keep checking back! :-D
